Who Shot The Sheriff? Now on Netflix
ReMastered, which investigates high-profile events affecting major figures in music is a Netflix Original production helmed by Jeff and Michael Zimbalist (The Two Escobars, Favela Rising, Nossa Chape, Pelé). The premiering film in the series titled 'Who Shot The Sheriff?' directed by Academy Award nominated director Kief Davidson (Open Heart, The Ivory Games) explores the mysterious 1976 assassination attempt on the legendary Bob Marley.
In his rhythmically driven, atmospheric score for 'Who Shot The Sheriff' Asaf wrote for strings, synths and percussions. His use of percussion involved recording a number of unconventional instruments (Guzheng, Thunder Maker, various Steel and Hang Drums) which were later on processed through his rig. In addition to the score, Asaf also wrote and produced the instrumental songs heard on the film in homage to Bob Marley's music.
